  1. Shockers (1-0), Point Differential – 42

The Shockers were their usual selves as they steamrolled through Strangers with Candy 50-8 in Week 1.  The Shockers look a little different this season without Spanola or Pharo, and with the additions of Maliq Black and Peter Torres.  The Shockers had their usual high powered offense against Strangers as Joe Giuffre, Charlie Barbiere, and Devon Snead put up big games like they usually do.  Giuffre took home POTW honors for QB with his 437 passing yards and 7 TDs, and Barbiere was the runner up for WR with 6 receptions for 147 yards and 3 TDs.  Snead also had a big game hauling in 6 catches for 135 yards and a TD, while Mike O’Neil wasn’t too shabby himself chipping in 8 catches for 68 yards and a TD.  The defense for the Shockers also came to play holding Strangers to only 8 points.  Steve Soletto recorded 2 sacks and Anthony Carlo had 2 interceptions, which quickly puts him at the top of the leaderboard for the season.  The Shockers will take on The Money Team in Week 2.  The Money Team is riding a high after a win in their first game in the JSGFFL against the Red Jaguars, now they will have a real test as they play the team that’s been on top of the JSGFFL for the past few years.

  1. Woodchucks (1-0), Point Differential – 24

The Woodchucks handled the Clam Slammers with relative ease as they won 36-12 in Week 1.  The Zit popped off again as he threw for 336 yards, 6 TDs, and no interceptions on the day.  In classic Zit fashion, 7 different receivers had at least 2 receptions for the Woodchucks.  The Zit was so on in Week 1, that he even attempted a pass that traveled more than 20 yards in the air, dispelling the naysayers that refer to him Check Down Charlie.  Jeremy Wozniak was the Zit’s top receiver on the day grabbing 8 passes for 91 yards, proving that nobody beats the Woz.  Steve Dalrymple had 2 sacks on defense while Kevin Kastner had 1 himself.  Devon McEllen added an interception for the Woodchucks on defense.  Woodchucks go into Week 2 as the favorites against Strangers with Candy.

  1. Warewolves (1-0), Point Differential – 15

The Commissioner led Warewolves held off and beat Rabid Squirrels 33-18 in Week 1.  Sean McAndrew and Shane Capone were the bright spots on the team as Sean hauled in 8 catches for 146 and 3 TDs, while Shane had 3 catches for 112 yards and 2 TDs.  Angelini was solid throwing for 322 yards, 5 TDs and 1 interception.  There is controversy brewing for Week 2 as the Warewolves will play the Red Jaguars, and Angelini is the QB for both teams.  Many fans want to see Angelini step down from the Warewolves and let former Hardcore and State Champion Ryan Dooley take the helm at QB for the Warewolves in Week 2.  If the megalomaniac Angelini will allow this to happen remains to be seen.

  1. Rabid Squirrels (0-1), Point Differential – (-15)

The Squirrels come in at the 4th spot despite the loss in Week 1 to the Warewolves.  The Money Team is not going to be happy with me on this one, but there is much more of a track record with the Squirrels, and the Squirrels played a much tougher opponent in Week 1.  Sean Collins only threw for 239 yards against the Wolves, but the bright spot is he did not throw any interceptions.  Jihad Castro caught 7 balls for 57 yards and 2 TDs, Josh Ahiabor had 6 catches for 72 yards, and Joe Andress hauled in another 5 catches for 58 yards.  Bill Budd chipped in an interception on the defensive side of the ball.  The Squirrels will be involved in the Game of the Week for Week 2 as they take on the Clam Slammers.  Both teams will look to get back on track as they enter Week 2 with an 0-1 record.

  1. The Money Team (1-0), Point Differential – 14

I am positive I am going to hear some shit from the Money Team with this ranking, but there is still a lot to prove after the 34-20 Week 1 victory over the Red Jaguars.  League veteran, but new QB Ryan Maletto looked good in his first game at QB as he threw for 286 yards, 5 TDs, and 1 interception.  Guy Blessing was a monster on defense has he had 3 sacks, which makes him the league leader after Week 1.  Terrence McKeller quickly looked like the biggest playmaker for the Money Team.  Terrence had 6 catches for 72 yards and a TD, while also getting an interception on defense.  Quwan Dorsey also had himself a nice day as he had 71 yards receiving and a TD.  The Money Team will have a much tougher opponent in Week 2 as they take on the Shockers.
